Kariko Craft is a brand and creative project exploring the artistry of Japanese kimono fabric — finding new forms by carefully upcycling them into handbags and other accessories. The project weaves together sustainability, cultural preservation, community building, and the story of Japanese artisanal traditions increasingly threatened by fast fashion and global consumerism. Along the way, it also explores how AI can empower a micro-brand rooted in a niche cultural cause — and how technology and heritage can work together rather than against each other.
